Upcoming Youth Sports: Soccer and Basketball
As the season changes, it’s the perfect time to get kids moving and engaged in sports! We are rolling out and laying up some fun and exciting youth sports opportunities for Fall and Winter 2024 with indoor soccer league and basketball clinics.
Indoor Soccer League: October 15 - November 21
The Indoor Soccer League is an excellent introduction for youth to the world’s most popular sport. Running from October 15 to November 21, this league is open to youth ages 3-10. Participants will not only have fun but also build their skills week by week.
- Age Groups: 3-4, 5-6, and 7-10
- Practices: Tuesday or Wednesday practice sessions.
- Games: All games take place on Thursdays.
- Location: All practices and games will be held at the Whatcom Family YMCA downtown.
Cost:
- Members: $130
- Non-members: $160
This is a great chance for kids to work on their coordination, teamwork, and love for soccer in a friendly environment.
Basketball Clinics: December 3 - 18
We're also offering basketball clinics coming this December in preparation for our basketball league! These clinics will help youth hone their dribbling, shooting, and teamwork skills. Taking place December 3 to December 18, these clinics are sorted into three age groups to ensure that training is appropriate for their developmental stage:
- Age Groups: 4-5, 6-8, and 9-12
- Practice Days: Tuesday or Wednesday
Cost:
- Members: $40
- Non-members: $70
The basketball clinics provide a great way for kids to stay active as the weather gets colder, all while having fun and learning the basics of the game.
