ACTIVE OLDER ADULTS >

Seniors can connect with the Y community through physical fitness, social activities and more. Programs for older adults accommodate a wide variety of interests and functional abilities.

 

BETTER BONES AND BALANCE >

Learn the 5 key components of Oregon State University's Better Bones and Balance program in this 4 class session. Classes include a short talk & discussion on a bone related topic, then learning/practicing specific exercise. Having a bench step, or stair in your home, is beneficial but not required. The first 3 classes of this virtual session are for new participants only. Alumni are welcome to join the Feb 10th session to review good form for each exercise. BBB practice booklet will be emailed to participants.

 

BLOOD PRESSURE SELF-MONITORING >

High blood pressure is a key, modifiable, risk factor for both heart disease and stroke, which are two of the leading causes of death in the United States. This program will help you gain the skills needed to manage/or lower your blood pressure.

 

GROUP FITNESS>

Come workout with others in one of our many group fitness classes including cycling, strength training, HIIT, cardio, yoga and more.

 

HEALTH AND LIFE COACHING>

Our certified Coaches will assist you in creating goals and improving your overall wellness and life satisfaction.

PEDALING FOR PARKINSON'S >

Fast pedaling is not a cure of Parkinson’s disease but it is changing the lives of increasing numbers of participants who, before, had no hope beyond medication and eventually surgery to slow the progression of their disease. 

 

ROCK STEADY BOXING FOR PARKINSON'S>

Improving the quality of life of people with Parkinson's disease through a non-contact, boxing-based fitness curriculum.

 

URBAN POLING CLASSES >

Using these specialized poles while exercising helps to encourage an upright posture while supporting both sides of your body. 

 

VIRTUAL FITNESS PROGRAM >

The YMCA has a variety of fitness classes via Zoom software. Workout from your home with your favorite YMCA instructors.

Sign up for a session with a personal trainer to help you meet your goals. Whether you need post physical therapy help or have specific goal in mind, our training team can design a program to help you achieve success.
