Families!  Get up and get moving with the  Y's new Family Freestyle workouts.  Join some of our Y instructors (and one special guest star) and their families for a variety of ideas that don't take a lot of space or equipment.  Try one or all six!  Let us know your favorite and why at ymca@whatcomymca.org

Family Freestyle with the Galbraiths

Join the Galbraith family for Family Freestyle Yoga. All ages can get bendy in this 30 minute session where all family members can join, modify, or take a breather during any pose.



Family Freestyle with the Allens

A simple game can turn into a fun, family workout.  Write down a handful of exercises, set up some chairs, grab some tunes, and have an extra-active game of musical chairs that may get just a little bit competitive.  This is a fun one to throw in when you have a little less time.



Family Freestyle with the LaPlantes

Whether there are two people in your family or five, you can all get movin' and have some fun.  The whole family can create the list of exercises, then do them together, or not. As Meredith shows you, having fun while your family moves may mean giving family members the freedom to make different choices.



Family Freestyle with the Burkes

Exercise doesn't have to be boring. Practice your high energy Ninja moves with Corrie, Bennett & Mitchell, or make your own. Costumes encouraged as well as throwing in your own Ninja moves. (for safety's sake, make sure you have a large, clear space for this workout).

Join Coach Pete, Corrie, Bennett & Mitchell for some hoops, kicks and swings. Or, follow along with your sport of choice. The main point is to keep moving and have fun doing it.
